About Bull Sheath Leather
Ernie Contreras started Bull Sheath Leather in 2017 at a single bench in Mansfield, Texas, on a simple idea: a wallet should outlive the person who carries it. The shop has grown into a small team of artisans, but the work hasn't changed: no assembly line and no outsourcing.
How they're made
- Horween leather: full-grain, vegetable-tanned Dublin leather from Chicago's Horween tannery. No bonded leather.
- Cut and finished by hand: pieces are cut in the Texas workshop, stitched on leather machines and edge-burnished with beeswax.
- Ages with you: the leather develops a patina and softens with everyday carry.
